Dennis Gorton

Dennis comes to the real estate industry with a varied work background. After spending 5 years in the United States Coast Guard in Hawaii & Alaska, Dennis moved to Portland to attend Western Culinary Institute. The next 9 years were spent working at various restaurants, hotels and hospitals in the Portland area. Dennis has been married to his wife Debbie for 12 years and has two daughters Hannah & Abby. Dennis began working in the Real Estate industry in 1999. Dennis started with Prudential Northwest Properties where he earned several awards including Rookie of the Year 2000, Leading Edge Society 2001, and Chairman’s Circle 2003. In 2004 Dennis left Prudential to work with Windermere Cronin & Caplin Realty Group. Realizing that his business philosophy was not congruent with a large company Dennis and his business partner decided to open their own real estate company, Iron Gate Realty Group in 2005. Dennis has worked in many aspects of residential real estate including new construction, development land acquisition, and traditional resale real estate. Today Dennis focuses on sharing his knowledge of the real estate market to help people reach their investment goals. What separates Dennis from most real estate agents is that his work truly comes from the heart. It isn’t about a commission check; it’s about seeing his clients obtain their goals. Whether that be getting the keys to their first home, or exchanging 3 houses into a 16 plex, Dennis believes that if he takes care of his clients, they will take care of him. This has proved to be true as 91% of Dennis’ business comes from either repeat clients or referrals.
